Clean-Up Days:
In order to keep the cemetery well-maintained throughout the year, the Village will be organizing two clean-up days per year to clear out old decorations. The fall clean-up day will be the Thursday before Thanksgiving and the spring clean-up day will be the Thursday before Easter.
The spring cemetery clean-up day will be Thursday, April 17. All decorations that are in the way of mowing paths, broken, or unsightly will be removed by staff/volunteers. Interested in volunteering at the clean-up? We’d love to have you! We’ll be cleaning up decorations on 4/17 from 1-3pm. Contact cemetery@newglarusvillage.com or 608-966-8180 to sign up!

Decorations:
Fresh cut, potted, or artificial plants and flowers are permitted on the plot; however, all decorations must be either attached directly to the monument or staked in the ground (using plant stands or shepherd hooks) directly adjacent to the cement wash at the base of the monument at the ends of the monument. No plants, flowers, etc. except during the months of December and January, may be placed at the front or back of the monument that will impeded law maintenance. If these plants and flowers are not maintained and/or they become unsightly or undesirable, they will be removed by the Village. The planting of trees and shrubs or any other plant or flower on any plot will not be permitted.
