National Theatre for Children

 

Each year New Glarus Utilities sponsors a live theatre show presented by the Minneapolis based National Theatre for Children (NTC).  NTC tours the United States presenting lively, interactive educational shows.  NTC will perform for the New Glarus Elementary School at the following times:

NTC dedicates itself to educating young people on important and timely energy-related topics coined with printed curriculum materials and teacher guides, their imaginative and customized presentations effectively reach the students, teachers, and parents.

 

Library Partnership

Each year, New Glarus Utilities works in partnership with the New Glarus Public Library to support Library programs and promote energy and water conservation/education.  The library has many materials pertaining to energy and water conservation/education available for check-out to residents having a library card.

In addition, New Glarus Utilities provides Watt's Up Meters for check-out at the New Glarus Public Library.  Watt's Up Meters allow consumers to compute the cost of operating various appliances in their home/business.  Click here for more information on our Watt's Up meters.

ABOUT US

New Glarus was established as a Swiss Colony in 1845 and incorporated as a Village in 1901. The Village has retained its Swiss charm with Alpine-style architecture, ethnic festivals and Swiss delicacies. The Village is located in beautiful Green County in south central Wisconsin. We are just 28 miles south of Madison and 17 miles north of Monroe on State Highway 69.
