2016 Street Construction Project Update

JUNE 1, 2016

Asphalt paving on 3rd Street and 5th Street will occur on June 2nd, weather permitting.  Sod restoration will occur the week of June 6th.

MAY 6, 2016

The sanitary sewer and water mains have been installed, tested and are in service.    The contractor has excavated the street on 5th Street and placed base course and the contractor is currently excavating 3rd Street for the placement of base course. 

Early next week the contractor will be placing curb and gutter and 3rd and 5th Street.  Later next week the contractor will be installing the concrete driveway aprons and spot replacement of concrete sidewalk.

MAY 5, 2016

We have spoken with the construction crews and garbage/recycling haulers to try to alleviate issues for garbage and recycling pick-up.  We ask that you please place your garbage and recycling cart at the intersection of either 7th Avenue or 8th Avenue for pick-up beginning on May 6th through June 17th.

APRIL 19, 2016:

The start date for the 2016 Street Project on 3th and 5th Streets is Monday, April 25, 2016 (weather dependent).  It is anticipated that the project will take approximately eight (8) weeks to complete.  The street reconstruction project includes curb/gutter work, limited areas of sidewalk, sanitary sewer replacement, water main replacement, and new street construction and restoration.
